Popular Lagos Pastor is Arrested for Duping Woman N3 Million
Rev. Praise Bassey, a popular Lagos-bsed clergyman has been arrested by the Lagos Criminal Investigation Department for duping a female contractor.

The leader of House of Destiny Church told the female contractor that the cost of the car was N3 million.



He asked her to pay the money to an account in Zenith Bank. After the money was paid, the reverend became evasive.

For two years, the pastor has not provided the car he was to buy neither has he refunded the money the contractor gave him.



“The contractor got to know Bassey in 2010 when he visited her home in the company with a family friend. I learnt that Bassey informed the contractor that he lived in Korea and was into car import business,” said a source.

After his arrest in 2012, he was required to pay back the money as part of the bail conditions.

He has been re-arrested by SCID and will now be prosecuted in court.
