Sonakshi Sinha

Born on 2^ndJune 1987, Sonakshi Sinha is the daughter of actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. She has two older twin brothers, Luv and Kush. After doing her schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir, Mumbai, she completed her graduation in Fashion Designing Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey University, Mumbai.

 Having worked as a costume designer for a movie, Mera dill eke dekho in 2005, she has also walked the ramp in Lakhme Fashion week in 2008 and 2009. She made a debut in the blockbuster movie Dabangg opposite Salmaan Khan which went to become one of the biggest grosser of the decade. She won numerous awards for the movie in that year including Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female (2011), Zee Cine Award for Most Promising Debut - Female (2011), Filmfare Award for Best Female Debutante (2011), The Global Indian Film And Television Honors for Most Promising Fresh Face - Female (2011), IIFA Award for Best Female Debutante (2011) and Apsara Award for Best Debut (Female) (2011). She has also lent her voice to the character of Tooth fairy in the Hollywood movie – Rise of the Guardian in the year 2012.
