The famous director of films like ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Ghayal’ and ‘Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani’ – Rajkumar Santoshi, is the man behind yet another light hearted action comedy and the biggest release of the week – Phata Poster Nikla Hero. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Lleana D’Cruz with Padmini Kohlapuri (Shahid’ mother in the film), Shaurabh Shukla and Sanjay Mishra in the supporting roles. As for cameo appearances, Salman Khan is making a surprising entry and Nargis Fakhri of ‘Rockstar’ fame is roped in for an item number.

In brief, Vishvas Rao (Shahid Kapoor) is an aspiring actor who at the turn of events becomes a pretentious cop with more than many believers around him and all from the wrong fronts. On the one side there is the Mumbai police fraternity and on the other side there is ‘Gundappa Gang’ and trapped between the crossfire is Vishvas Rao and his mother. Of course, it’s a long journey from living a so called ‘Bindass’ life with a burning fire to become an actor to all of a sudden becoming a fake cop and getting entrapped in what seems like a never-ending struggle to get out of the mess. Putting all that comically is an art Rajkumar Santoshi knows pretty well and the success of his previous films, which never had so much of a serious storyline, but a good representation nevertheless, is what can be seen in Phata Poster Nikla Hero as well.

For people who do not actually wish to see the film from an analytical point of view, this movie is a light-hearted entertainer that is sure to not disappoint you. But, if you see from the critical point of view – you will find the plot to be messy and predictable and the roles of characters not mature enough to become benchmarks like ‘Chulbul Pandey’, ‘Bhattar Singh’ or ‘Bajirao Singham’, if you know what it means. ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ is a movie based on the formula that helped Rajkumar Santoshi taste success very sweetly with ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ wherein the movie is a light hearted comedy till the very end and all of a sudden in the climax grinds too fast to understand what is going on with a few unrealistic gags that only forces you to laugh because of its visual entertainment value. However, in ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’, one can say that the first part has more comic value than the second half, wherein the writer, Rajkumar Santoshi, seems to have forgotten that he is writing a comic script.

The movie has many kaleidoscopic funny moments, highlights from director’s past movies, funny gags, humorous twists and a handful of heart touching moments that will make enough to not leave a bad taste in your mouth after the movie ends. Shahid Kapoor, as always has shaken legs well in numbers like ‘Khali Pili’ and ‘Dhating Nach’.

Ileana D’Cruz has played a nice role of a social worker in the movie, who doesn’t disappoint with her acting skills but with far-from-mature character she was given, its only as much justice she could have done and the same can be said about the role of Shahid Kapoor as well.  The director could have done away with any other female lead as even though Ileana puts in her best, this comical stint after highly acclaimed ‘Barfi’ doesn’t seem to fit in well. Rajkumar Santoshi has also not been able to or didn’t try to explore the romance between the lead actors and the three songs they do together in the movie is the most you will get from the movie when it comes to romance.

Overall, the movie qualifies as a family entertainer for sure and is worth watching even though it could have been way much better. There are times when you will seriously need to hold your seats tight so as to not lose balance while laughing and the music of the movie will keep the lovers of peppy numbers engaged and therefore, planning ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ as your weekend watch is definitely not a bad idea.

Grand Masti, which is supposedly India’s first adult comedy, only makes it clearer to the wider urban audience of India that no matter how many millions we spend on our movies, how technically advance we become in our sound mixing, graphics and animation or simply how mature our film fraternity has become, we are still very much ‘the third world’. Yes, the Grand Masti is actually an insult to the audience, especially women, who went for movie looking for some adult humor and came out spitting the dirty and vulgar taste this movie as a whole, leaves in your mouth. For one, it has no originality as many of the gags used by the director Indra Kumar in the movie has been copied from classic Hollywood comedies such as Austin Powers, Ace Ventura and a few more. And, even while plagiarism is in general ‘Okayed’ by the Indian audience, the director has made a huge blunder in copying the scenes trying to create the same effect.

The movie released on the same day when the decision for giving the capital punishment to the culprits of the Delhi Gang rape case came in and irony is that this movie is no salute to the decision as it only adds to the agony of the Indian women because the whole movie revolves around treating women as objects of pleasure. The movie surprises you with the number of low points it has, as every time you see one and think to yourself that this is it, it can’t get worse than this and in a few minutes, it just digs deeper. The movie revolves around the same plot where the three friends, namely Amar (Ritesh), Prem (Aftab) and Meet (Vivek) are heavily deprived of sex, bored of life and are looking for ways to spice up their life (read sex life) and here is when the news of their college reunion breaks in. And, the director takes it for granted that the audience would have never been to a college reunion themselves as the actual reunion is absolutely nothing of what is shown in ‘Grand Masti’. Or can anyone inform director that reunions are not ‘pick-up points’? Manjari Phadnis and Chandi Perera has done good quality acting, compared to the other actress.

There are a few clever lines though that might give you a false ray of hopes from time to time but it clearly doesn’t increase the bar of the movie. Laughs are going to very few if sensible is the word you use to describe yourself and have respect for women. The problem with Grand Masti is that the makers of the film have not been able to differentiate between cheap, vulgar and funny and have somehow ended up making badly made lemonade, too bitter to taste. Overall, there are six actress in the movie but none of them would be able to leave any impression upon you as far as their talent in acting is concerned but yes, if you are looking for a visual treat, then the movie is loaded with hot pants, tight shots, cleavage, bikinis and sexual innuendos that are hard as well as shamefully embarrassing to describe precisely.

In the final analysis, it can be said that if you have an appetite for vulgarity, bulk load of cheap jokes, then this movie just might be close to appealing you. But unfortunately, in our poll counter, there is hardly anyone who has such an objectionable appetite and anyone who is looking for something like that - watching a porn movie is better as it just might have a passable storyline too. Grand Masti is not grand by any means and if you have been waiting for that weekend break to have some fun, then this movie is something you definitely want to avoid or you just might be posed with too many questions from yourself about the integrity of the people who made it.

The movie is based upon the story of Live-in relationships, which is not familiar with Indian audiences. Well, the story is completely different, not a regular romantic-comedy movie. In romantic-comedy movie the ending is always done with couples wedding, but this time it is completely different. The shooting of the movie is done in the wonderful palace of Jodhpur.

Parineeti Chopra has done brilliant acting, she is looking very hot in the movie. There are lots of Kissing scenes between Parineeti and Sushant. She has lost couple of kilos and is now looking more charming.

Must say that the new Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor, who made her debut in this movie, is completely stunning, but acting skills can be called as OK. She is tall and slim and looks gorgeous.

Sushant Singh Rajput (Raghuram) plays the role of tourist guide, who meets Parineeti Chopra on a tour, Both fell in love with each other and start having a live-in relationship. After the interval, Vaani Kapoor comes in the movie. She is the one whose marriage is already fixed with Sushant, she comes to know about their live-in relationship and plots a plan to take revenge.

Songs in the movie are perfectly timed, and movies which includes love triangle, cannot be completed without songs, Specially, the song Gulabi, is very melodious and is already on top of the chartbusters.Music is given by duo Sachin-Jigar.

Direction done by Maneesh Sharma is superb. Some scenes in the movie has been shot perfectly fine.

Conclusion: One time watch, watch it for Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Furkey, is a typical comedy based on friendship and bonding which seems to be the core type of movies from the production house. Excel Entertainment, has in the past given some good friendship based movies in Dil Chahta Hai, Rock On and Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara, Fukrey is the latest addition. Based in Delhi, the movie describes the lives of 4 Fukras (without a job) who are in the middle of a situation because of a gamble gone wrong. These Fukras, however, have an aspiration which is to get into college and the story goes around depicting what college would be like.

The trailor of this movie was, not suprisingly, lauched at a college canteen and the ambience only added to what the makers of the movie feel about the movie. Farhan Akthar & Ritesh Sidhwani, co-producers of the movie, have been buddies since college times and agree to being Fukras themselves. They gave out details of how in spite of being admitted to college they would only linger around campus and more importantly the canteen area. The audience at the trailor launch was first shown a video which explains the title and the meaning it holds.

The star cast does not come with big names but each one plays a very interesting roles, the cast includes Pulkit Samrat (Bittoo Boss), Ali Fazal (ALWAYS KABHI KABHI) and Manjot Singh (OYE LUCKY! LUCKY OYE!). The movie is directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, who has one prior movie to his credit, the not-so-famous Teen Thay Bhai (2011)

If sources are to be anything to go by, the movie is in its final stages of making and is scheduled to be in theatres by June this year. The movie has a very young star cast and going cheap for this movie may not be a bad idea after all.

Yash Raj Films' next criminal drama has the Ishaqzaade actor, Arjun Kapoor, in the lead which is also a double role. These roles have one as the gangster and the second role is that of a lookalike undercover cop. This cop is a determined personnel looking to get into the criminal underworld and infiltrate it inside out.

Making her debut is Sasha Agha, daughter of singer-actress Salma Agha who is seen sporting a bikini very briefly on the released trailer. There are a few more steamy scenes involving her with Arjun Kapoor as the criminal drama unfolds.

With the mention of the new kids on the block, the movie also has veteran stars in Rishi Kapoor, playing a cop for the first time in his 33 year old career and Jackie Shroff who plays a businessman involved in the crime circuit. Amrita Singh is also a part of this venture playing the wife to the head of the family, Rishi Kapoor, who also has 2 other cops in the family played by Prithviraj Sukumaran and Sikandar Kher.

With producer Aditya Chopra and directed by Atul Sabharwal, Aurangzeb is set to be a gripping drama where the good guys are thinking like the criminal to take the underworld by it's horns. Slated to release mid-May, Aurangzeb is looking to be a good overall package.

It is said that the best romance is the one that starts with friendship, now this sounds like something you have heard in the past, right? Ofcourse you have, it's the most common friendship growing into love cliche. The good part however is that Ayan Mukerji, the director, has some how managed to make the best of the cliche and got it to work as well. The movie is much spoken about in recent times and is featuring the ex-couple Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone on the silver screen. The movie is one big mix of all youth emotions in life and how the characters go through these emotions in life.

Like many youth centric movies, this too is a story of 4 very good friends who are down in the dumps and come back up to make their friendship stronger. To give Ayan some credit, he has made these cliches work and has this conviction which some how manages to make the audience believe in the way he looks at this story line. The problem lies in the predictability of the story, though full marks to the narrative capabilities of Ayan which gets life to the movie over all.

Deepika is doing a good job at being a nerdy Naina Talwar, who is a typical school scholar and is looking for that major change of lifestyle. Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Bunny to perfection, who is also the best match for Naina and has put in some great work in expressing the character in the movie. The 2 other friends are Avi (Aditya Roy Kapoor) & Aditi (Kalki Koechlin), who also blend in perfectly and put up a solid feeling of the 4 being one unit.

Pritam seems have done a good job with the music since the songs have been catchy and appropriately composed to be up beat. Since the music release, all songs have been doing rounds at party circles and you can't help your feet tap at "Balam Pichkari". :)

As you may have imagined, every one expected a twist in the tale, but this is where Ayan has faltered just that tad bit.

Having said that, the movie is worth watching for the fun ride of 4 friends looking to lose and regain their friendship.

Commando starring Vidyut Jamwal, Pooja Chopra and Jaideep Ahlawat is an total action movie. I liked it cause i like action movies, but my girlfriend dint liked it. The reason behind it is she hates action movies. The movie has only action scenes, from start to end.

You can see Vidyut Jamwal in almost every frame of the movie. The director of the movie has focused too much on the actor.  This is the best action movie I have seen in long time, but to be honest the movie lacks in having good story. The movie required some twists, some backbiting, some masala. It lacks in all these things, that's why the movie will fall down at the box office.

Debutant Pooja Chopra is looking beautiful in the movie. She is confident and has blessed by good acting skills. Comedy timing is good by the actress. 

It seems that the songs are purposely fixed in the movie. It would have neen better if there were no songs. The item song by Nathalia Kaur was completely unnecessary.

Director has shot some beautiful scenes. The movie has been shot extensively in a jungle from northern side of India. All the scenes and has been captured perfectly by the director.

Final Verdict:
Go and watch it, only if you like action movies. Vidyut Jamwal's acting and stunts are superb.

I thought Himmatwala remake would be a better one then original. But now I am cursing myself that why did I wasted my money. I want to apply a letter to the director Sajid Khan asking for my money for movie ticket back.

Himmatwala has nothing new in the movie. It is a melodramatic movie of 1980's. Ajay Devgn who has produced hits like Son of Sardar, Singham, Bol Bachchan in last couple of years have disappointed his fans.

Paresh Rawal has delivered good acting and his role is unforgettable. Tamanna Bhatia who made her come back in Bollywood movies after 2005, received positive response from critics. She is looking gorgeous in every frame of the movie.The Tamil and Telugu actress Tamanna is one of the most popular south Indian actress.

I seriously dint like songs from the movie. There are 4 songs in the movie Nainon mein sapna, taki taki, Dhoka Dhoka and thank god it's friday. 

Sajid Khan who has made hit movies like Heyy Baby and Houseful has nothing new for his viewers this time. We wish all the best for Sajid Khan for his upcoming projects.

Irrfan Khan's acting is brilliant in the movie. The pace of the movie is much faster then the first part. The first half of the movie is superb. Much more focus is given on Irrfan Khan. The cast of the movie is awesome except Soha Ali Khan. Her acting is not as strong as others. Her role in the movie is good, but her acting skills are not upto the mark. Irrfan is the real entertainer of the movie.

Mahie Gill has done some serious hot bed scenes. She is looking crazy hot exposing navel.Soha Ali Khan is looking ok in the movie.

The story of the movie is based on politics and revenge. Mahie Gill and Irrfan Khan have played their best role in the movie.

Director Tigmanshu Dhulia has done justice to the direction. Not a single screen is wasted. All the characters and scenes are properly adjusted and you will never come to know when the 145 minutes movie comes to an end.

Yes I made the mistake of watching I, Me aur Main. There is nothing new in the movie. Please do not waste your time and money on watching this stupid nonsense movie.

Speicla 26 is a brilliant movie starring Akshay Kumar , Anupam Kher, Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Shergil, Kajal Agarwal and Divya Dutta. The movie is based on real life story from 1980 when a group of conned man raided jewelry showroom as 'C.B.I. Officer'. Those men were never caught by police officers. The story is based between police officers and theives playing cat and mouse game. The movie is completely different and must watch for those who are not interested in typical slow love story movies. Akshay Kumar and Kajal Agarwal have come on screen for the first time and looking cute couples. Divya Dutta is looking hot in the movie. For more info on movie please go and see in the theatre.

Inkaar is a must watch movie directed by Sudhir Mishra. Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh has acted brilliantly in the movie. Both of the leading actors have started their career with modelling and have struggled a lot in their early days. They found difficulty in chasing success in their career. But looking at this movie they have done a mind blowing job.

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola has failed to make an hit movie at the box office. The story is different but has not lived to its expectations. The movie is extreme slow at times and those moments becomes very hard to pass by. The movie is basically based upon Pankaj Kapoor who is Mandola in the movie. His dream is to conquer the whole of village where he is living.



 Anushka Sharma (Bijlee) is daughter of Mandola. Pankaj wants to arrange marriage of Bijlee to a rich person. But, Anushka falls in love with Imran Khan (Matru). Bijlee has done very hot scenes in the movie specially the scene of coming out of pond where she is seen removing her clothes.

Arya Babbar has done brilliant acting in the movie. He keeps no stone unturned and does awesome acting. Full marks for cinematographer of the movie. The movie will not go in 100 crore club.
